Rebecca Knight MLI

Rebecca Knight is Landscape Architect and Associate of Land Use Consultants.

She is a specialist in landscape character assessment, having been at the forefront of developing methodologies in landscape character assessment as well as focusing on the practical application of assessment techniques and their use in landscape planning.  She was involved in the Landscape Assessment of Northern Ireland which was awarded a Landscape Institute Award in 1999, and the Lancashire Landscape Strategy that won a commendation award from the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2001.  She was also involved in the running of the Countryside Agency's Countryside Character Network and Advisory Group in its first few years and has contributed to a number of the Countryside Agency's Topic Papers which form part of the Countryside Agency and Scottish Natural Heritage's guidance on Landscape Character Assessment.

Rebecca is also a specialist in landscape and visual impact assessment, having undertaken a great variety of assessments for renewable energy schemes, industrial developments, residential and mixed use developments, transport schemes, and recreational/ visitor attractions.  Rebecca is currently managing a specialist team of landscape architects who are undertaking landscape and visual impact assessments of a number of on-shore wind farms in England incorporating 3D view analysis and production of photo-realistic photomontages.
