Polly Turton

Polly Turton has worked at CABE for over 6 years in roles spanning the policy, communications, research and public affairs teams and is currently leading CABE’s public affairs work on the interconnected issues of public space design and management, public health and sustainable development.

Her responsibilities have included managing and disseminating research projects relating to: the value of good urban design and public space; funding and resourcing for parks and public spaces; risk and the design of the built environment; the links between green space quality and public health, and sustainable urban design and management.

Amongst other roles, she represents CABE on the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) Policy Council, the Sustainable Development Commission Panel (SDC) Panel and the London Physical Activity and Health Steering Group. Previously she has worked for the British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) and Groundwork Camden & Islington.
