Conference Showcase

The Landscape Institute’s Annual Conference is set to end on a high on 10 October with a ‘Conference Showcase’, highlighting some of the most interesting and intriguing approaches to housing and landscape.  We are inviting eight practices to take part.

Each presentation will involve one or two speakers from the practice talking for an absolute maximum of five minutes about their project, displaying a maximum of 20 slides. The host will ensure that speakers are working against the clock and are cut off at the five minute mark.

This is your chance to present innovative, unusual and captivating projects to all the conference delegates in a simple, bite-sized manner. The projects can be of any size, design and location and can be completed, in the process of being finished or simply currently at the ideas stage.

Those schemes selected for the showcase will receive two free passes for both days of the conferences, including the President’s dinner and drinks reception, worth £350 each. Practices submitting entries which are not selected will receive a £50 discount when booking for both days of the conference, plus the President’s dinner. The eight schemes will also be featured in the November edition of Vista.

If you would like to submit an entry for consideration in the showcase, please email a 250 word synopsis of your scheme, explaining why you think it would be an exciting addition to the conference to James Gosling. The deadline for submissions is Monday September 22 at 10am.
