An analysis of the way in which government policy, academic findings and information gathered by housing developers, local authorities and landscape architects can inform the planning, design and management of landscape-led housing developments.


2.30 How can housing and the natural environment co-exist?
Professor Lynn Crowe, Professor of Environmental Management, Sheffield Hallam University and Board Member, Natural England
Professor Crowe will explore the relationship between housing and the natural environment, both in light of plans to build up to three million new homes, and of the impact of climate change. She will highlight the importance of a high quality natural environment in our towns and cities; and outline the wide range of benefits that the natural environment brings.
